    The HAMILTON-C1 neo provides tidal volumes as low as 2 ml for effective, safe, and lung-protective ventilation for neonatal patients. Both the proximal flow sensor and the neonatal expiratory valve were developed specifically for neonates.

  • Ventilation modes

    The ventilator supports the following types of modes:

    • Pressure-controlled modes (including biphasic modes)
    • Volume-controlled modes (adaptive)
    • Pressure-and volume-support modes
    • Modes for noninvasive ventilation

    Thanks to its biphasic pneumatic design, the ventilator always yields to spontaneous breathing in all modes. This is achieved through a special valve control system independent of any trigger mechanism.

  • High performance noninvasive ventilation (NIV)

    The noninvasive ventilation modes deliver pressure-supported, flow-cycled spontaneous breaths (NIV and NIV-ST mode) and pressure-controlled, time-cycled mandatory breaths (NIV-ST). In NIV modes, the ventilator functions as a demand flow system. When pressure support in NIV mode is set to zero, the ventilator functions like a conventional CPAP system.

    Compared to a compressed-air-based intensive care ventilator, the HAMILTON-C1 neo ventilator provides a higher peak flow rate of up to 260 l/min due to an integrated high-performance turbine. This guarantees optimal performance even with large leaks. In addition, the IntelliTrig leak compensation function adapts to changing breath patterns and airway leaks to achieve optimum synchronization between patient and device.

  • High flow oxygen therapy

    The HAMILTON-C1 neo optionally provides an integrated high flow oxygen therapy mode. With this enhancement, the HAMILTON-C1 neo gives you a variety of therapy options in one device, including invasive and noninvasive ventilation, and high flow oxygen therapy. In just a few steps, you can change the interface and use the same device and breathing circuit to accommodate your patient’s needs.

  • nCPAP modes

    The nCPAP modes of the HAMILTON-C1 neo are designed in such a way that you only need set the desired CPAP/PEEP. The flow is subsequently adjusted automatically based on the patient condition and variation in leakage, which prevents unintended peak pressures or loss of CPAP/PEEP, and guarantees highly efficient leak compensation.

  • Mobility for intra-hospital transport

    The high-performance turbine enables the HAMILTON-C1 neo mechanical ventilator to be completely independent from compressed air, and its integrated high-capacity battery allows you to ventilate your patients during intrahospital transport without needing an external power source.
