A high-quality cannula is a core element of HFOT to ensure the delivery of high flow oxygen to the patient.

Designed to support high flow rates, the In2Flow nasal cannulas for adult and pediatric** patients were developed by Hamilton Medical in Switzerland in close cooperation with healthcare professionals. Based on their input, the design was fine-tuned and materials were carefully selected with the aim of creating cannulas that combine easy application, a comfortable fit, and high performance.

The cannulas are MR-Safe and free of DEHP, PVC, and Latex.

For high flow oxygen therapy in neonatal patients we offer the Nuflow nasal cannulas from medin.

Sizes and flow rates

The In2Flow nasal cannulas are available in three sizes. Each size has a slightly different anatomical design and allows the following maximal flow:

  • Medium ≤ 80 l/min*
  • Large ≤ 100 l/min*

Storage of In2Flow interfaces

  • Cannula can be stored in the packaging for use on the same patient again – thanks to the resealable ziplock.
  • Back of the packaging shows an empty text field in which the patient ID can be noted.
  • Color-coding and printed scale of the prongs make it easy to choose the right size – before the packaging is opened.

In2Flow tracheostomy connector

Our high flow tracheostomy connector for adult and pediatric patients is designed for easy application and high performance. Its compact, discreet design offers a high degree of patient comfort. The sputum guard is 360° rotatable and can be replaced if required.

The tracheostomy connector is available in one size and can be used with flow rates of up to 60 l/min.

Specifications regarding duration of use, compatibility, materials, and packaging are the same as those for the In2Flow nasal cannula shown above.

Ventilator + HAMILTON-H900 for active humidification + In2Flow interfaces

Hamilton Medical ventilators offer the option of integrated high flow oxygen therapy for all patient groups with single or dual limb breathing circuits.

In just a few steps, you can switch between invasive or noninvasive ventilation and high flow oxygen therapy without changing the device or the breathing circuit. All you need to change is the ventilation mode and the patient interface.

High flow oxygen therapy

Compatibility

The cannulas can be used with all our ventilators and the HAMILTON-H900, connected by either a single or dual limb breathing circuit. There is no need to change the circuits, even if you have to switch to other noninvasive - or even to invasive - therapy forms.

Our In2Flow nasal cannulas may be used for up to 14 days on a single patient, as well as with high flow devices or humidification systems other than the HAMILTON-H900.
