Why is the volume curve not returning to zero?

Answer: Leaks

In this screenshot, the combination of flow curve with positive flow at end-expiration and volume curve not returning to zero indicates a leak. Should this occur, the cuff pressure and/or cuff integrity of the tracheal tube should be checked.
