We are pleased to announce that Hamilton Medical and Timpel, a pioneer in Electrical Impedance Tomography (EIT), announce a strategic cooperation that brings new insight and precision to lung monitoring in critical care.

Together, we will introduce PulmoMap – powered by Timpel, a dedicated EIT device that connects to the HAMILTON-C6 ventilator to provide real-time visualization of lung ventilation on a separate display. At the AARC International Congress 2025 (December 6-9, Phoenix, Arizona), we will showcase PulmoMap for the first time as an exciting innovation project.

A powerful, emerging tool for critical care

EIT is increasingly recognized in intensive care medicine as a noninvasive, bedside imaging method that gives clinicians a dynamic picture of how air and blood distribute within the lungs. It supports lung-protective ventilation strategies by identifying overdistension, collapse, and changes in regional aeration in real time. Although still an emerging tool in daily practice, it is gaining strong momentum as clinicians seek more individualized monitoring approaches.
