You are invited to attend our sponsored breakfast symposium. We are honored to host two experts in the field of respiratory care and mechanical ventilation:
Professor Marcelo Amato of Hospital das Clinicas and Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de São Paulo, Brazil, who will present Mechanical ventilation guided by electrical impedance tomography: Individualized care, a new way forward.
We are offering one hour of CRCE credit for this symposium. You must register below and submit the digital evaulation at the conclusion of the event in order to receive the certificate.
Mechanical ventilation guided by electrical impedance tomography: Individualized care, a new way forward
Presentation and discussion on the use of electrical impedance tomography as a new standard of care for managing patients with respiratory insufficiencies on mechanical ventilation. Gain understanding of the past 25 years of science as it has contributed to a new way forward.
A multidisciplinary, integrative approach to the clinical practice, education, and quality improvement of mechanical ventilation
Discover how one institution has developed and standardized a multidisciplinary approach to respiratory failure and the practice of mechanical ventilation. The importance of a team-based approach to assure early identification, appropriate treatment and subsequent weaning of support will be highlighted. Several emerging tools integrating physiology and traditional respiratory care parameters with the expertise and observations of nurses, physical and occupational therapists, pharmacists, and provider teams may be useful in support of your daily clinical, educational, and quality improvement needs and to develop and maintain a highly functioning, modern mechanical ventilation practice.
